Beowulf 3D 2007 follows the legendary Viking warrior who comes to the aid of King Hrothgar whose kingdom is terrorized by Grendel a merciless monster. Beowulf nearly two meters tall and full of confidence defeats Grendel by ripping off the creatures arm. Grendels mother a water demon attacks the hall seeking revenge. Beowulf tracks her to an underwater cave and kills her with a magic sword. He then becomes king and rules for many years until facing a dragon in his old age. This animated film uses motion capture performances. Beowulf must confront the consequences of his past lies and pride as he battles the dragon that threatens his kingdom.
