In the film Kong: Skull Island 3D 2017, a scientific and military expedition in the 1970s ventures to the unexplored Skull Island. Their mapping mission turns to survival when they encounter the island's colossal ruler, Kong. The crew, including a tracker and a war photographer, becomes separated in the hostile environment, discovering that the island is home to numerous prehistoric creatures.
