Dinosaurs Giants of Patagonia 3D 2007 follows paleontologist Rodolfo Coria as he visits major discovery sites in Patagonia. The documentary travels back in time to show dinosaurs that once lived in this region including the Argentinosaurus one of the largest land animals ever to walk the Earth. This titanic plant eater measured over one hundred feet long. Its nemesis the Giganotosaurus was a bipedal carnivore that could challenge Tyrannosaurus Rex. The film recreates dinosaur habitats with CGI showing how these creatures lived hunted and interacted. Coria explains fossil evidence and excavation methods used to uncover giant bones. The documentary covers the Late Cretaceous period in South America when these massive dinosaurs dominated their ecosystem. This production combines scientific education with visual recreations of prehistoric Patagonia.
