In the film Moana 3D 2016, the chosen daughter of a Polynesian chief, Moana, voyages beyond the reef to save her dying island. Guided by the ocean, she finds the demigod Maui and forces him to return the stolen heart of the goddess Te Fiti, which caused a life-sapping blight. Together, they face coconut-armored pirates, a giant treasure-hoarding crab, and the lava demon Te Kā. Moana must help Maui reclaim his magical fishhook and navigate the final leg of the journey herself to restore the heart and her people's identity as wayfinders.
