The Walk 3D 2015 follows French high wire artist Philippe Petit who dreams of walking between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center. Petit travels to New York and studies the towers under construction. He assembles a team including a photographer and a French accomplice. They sneak into the towers multiple times to rig a cable between the roofs. On August 7 1974 Petit steps onto the wire and walks for forty five minutes crossing between the towers eight times. Police wait for him on both ends. He is arrested but the charges are dropped in exchange for him performing in Central Park.
