Hotel Transylvania 2 3D 2015 takes place several years after the first film. Draculas daughter Mavis marries human Johnny and they have a son named Dennis. Dracula worries that Dennis has not yet shown any vampire traits. He takes Johnny Dennis and his monster friends on a road trip to his old vampire roots to trigger Denniss fangs. Mavis considers moving to California with Johnny unsure about raising her son in the hotel. Draculas methods cause comedic mishaps. Dennis does not turn during the trip. When a human bully attacks Denniss friend he reveals he can fly and grow fangs proving he is a vampire. The film explores family acceptance and embracing ones identity.
