Stand by Me Doraemon 3D 2014 follows Noby an unlucky boy who is constantly late for school and bullied by classmates. His great great grandson Sewashi travels from the future through a time portal with a robotic cat named Doraemon. Sewashi leaves Doraemon to help Noby change his behavior and improve his future. Doraemon uses gadgets from his four dimensional pocket including the Anywhere Door and Memory Bread. Noby tries to win the affection of his classmate Shizuka and improve his grades. The story covers Nobys life from elementary school through adulthood including his wedding day. The robot cat must return to the future but Noby learns to stand on his own. This animated film adapts several story arcs from the original manga.
