Finding Dory 3D 2016 follows Dory the blue tang fish with short term memory loss who was a friend to Marlin and Nemo in Finding Nemo. Dory suddenly remembers that she has parents somewhere and wants to find them. She travels across the ocean to the Marine Life Institute in California. Marlin and Nemo follow to help her. Dory meets a grumpy octopus named Hank a whale shark named Destiny and a beluga whale named Bailey. She learns to use her memory lapses as an advantage rather than a weakness. Dory finds her parents but discovers that they have been releasing colored shells into the ocean every day hoping she would find her way home. This animated film explores identity family and the value of perseverance.
