In the film Sing 3D 2016, optimistic koala Buster Moon tries to save his failing theater by hosting a singing competition. A clerical error promises a huge cash prize, attracting a city full of hopefuls. The finalists include a timid elephant, a busy pig mother, a punk-rock porcupine, a gangster gorilla, and a scheming mouse. When Buster's funding falls through and the theater is damaged, he considers canceling the show. Instead, the contestants rally, using the ruined theater's open roof for a spectacular public performance, rediscovering their passions and giving Buster a true success.
