Carmen 3D 2011 captures Bizets opera from the Royal Opera House in London. Francesca Zambello directs this production filmed in 3D by Julian Napier. The story follows Carmen a gypsy who seduces soldier Don Jose then leaves him for bullfighter Escamillo. Don Jose kills Carmen outside the bullring. The film shows rows of soldiers crowds of peasants gypsies bullfighters and animals including a donkey a horse and chickens. The dynamic production features passion jealousy and betrayal on stage.
