Iron Man 3 3D 2013 follows Tony Stark whose world is crumbling after his home is destroyed by a terrorist called the Mandarin. Stark is presumed dead and his suits fail to function. He must rely on his ingenuity without advanced technology. He tracks the Mandarin to Miami where he discovers the terrorist is actually an actor named Trevor Slattery controlled by scientist Aldrich Killian. Killian has developed Extremis a virus that gives people super strength and fire breathing abilities. Starks girlfriend Pepper is infected and forced to help Killian. Stark creates a new suit from scattered parts and fights Killian who has kidnapped the President. Pepper kills Killian using her Extremis powers. Stark destroys all his suits realizing the man matters more than the costume.
