Journey to the West The Demons Strike Back 3D 2017 follows monk Tang Xuanzang who continues his journey for scriptures with the Monkey King a pig and a river dragon. The monk dreams of reaching his goal and receiving reward from the Gods. In reality he must amuse bazaar audiences to feed his companions. Tang must also prevent the Monkey King from accidentally killing villagers. The relationship between Tang and the Monkey King is based on mutual blackmail and threats. Cunning demons attack the travelers constantly forcing the group to fight together. A spider demon and her sisters trap the monk in a web. The Monkey King must save his master despite their disagreements.
