Dam 999 3D 2011 follows Mayor John Brown who tries to build a new dam to replace a century old structure built during colonial India to save a city of 2.5 million from flooding. He dies during protests against the project. His corrupt son in law becomes the next mayor and announces the opening of a new dam built without safety measures. Astrologer Shankaran predicts a disaster. A group of sailors bands together to prevent the catastrophe and save the people. They discover corruption and negligence behind the construction. The film cuts between the sailors attempts to warn authorities and a family living below the dam. The climax involves the dam failing and a massive wave threatening the city.
