Dial M for Murder 3D 1954. Tony Wendice is a playboy whose wealth depends on his marriage to the rich heiress Margot. When he learns that Margot has become interested in an American detective novelist named Mark Halliday, Tony fears losing her millions. He devises a plan to kill her. Tony contacts an old acquaintance, Captain Swan Lesgate, who has ties to the criminal underworld. He blackmails Lesgate into committing the murder so that Tony can stay in the shadows. The plan fails.
